ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Yoav (pronounced Yo/Av) and this is my story:

I was born with congenital deformities of all four limbs.
Now that I'm 46 years old, I can definitely say that I embraced life with all its challenges.
Despite the obstacles I've faced, I have chosen to live my life as if I wasn't different.
My journey has taught me the value of resilience, creativity, and the importance of my family and my community.
Through my experiences, I wish to inspire others to overcome their own challenges and to see the beauty in their unique journeys.
Whether it's through sharing stories, advocating for accessibility, or simply connecting with others, I believe that hard work, positivity and determination can shape our paths.
Join me as I share my adventures, insights, and the lessons learned along the way, proving that our limitations do not define us, but rather how we face them.

Experience & Education

With a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, I was a teacher for several years, before moving on to becoming a project manager in various Medical Imaging companies.
Throughout my ~20 years career I was always an advocate for employees with special needs.
I chaired several Employees Business Resource Groups, which were dedicated to helping people with disabilities be accepted as equals while aiming to resolve any issues that may have risen due to special needs and requirements.

I firmly believe in the power of inclusivity and acceptance.
By sharing my stories and answering questions, I wish to help empower those who need to hear me and make sure that they feel welcome.
I also wish that anyone who hears my talks will start to understand what it means to be a different person in a "normal" society, and how they can improve their own environment to accept the differently abled person in-front of them.
